Hall of Shame A Community Warning List of Dangerous or Racist People Claiming to be Celtic

Everyone has disagreements and every religion has its spats with other religions, or even internally. These issues are generally settled by the Sinsearaithe in a simple, pragmatic, and polite manner. However, sometimes a group or person comes along claiming to be Celtic, Gaelic, or something similar and related who deserves to be called out. Not because we disagree with them or find their beliefs odd or strange, but because they hold to philosophies or have engaged in actions that are dangerous, either to our people or to the general public at large. People who created dangerous cults wherein people are used, abused, or harmed, racists who espouse philosophies related to or directly associated with dangerous racist groups, or people who commit criminal acts in the name of or under the guise of their professed culture or religion, all will eventually find themselves listed here. This page is not intended to be a trash-fest of those who we disagree with, but a warning to the Gaelic and Celtic community at large of the actions and beliefs of people claiming to be among them who fall within the list above. All available evidence will be presented to support the claims on this page, and no rumor or inuendo will be used. The Hall Of Shamer's own words and writings will be used whenever possible to allow the reader to judge for themselves. Racists Irish Revisionism- (appropriate name considering their royally-screwed-up view of history and culture) an Irish White Power site. Related to a series of now-defunct sites involved in spreading Sean Hyland's Revisionism theories that discount the Holocaust as Jewish propaganda. Irish Revisionism Discussion Group- A Yahoo discussion group for the above sites and the ilk that frequent them. Stormfront Ireland forum- Stormfront was one of the first hate sites on the Internet (and is to blame for inspiring the plethora of them found today), and is most famous in it's use of the "Celtic Cross" symbol which has earned them eternal ire and disgust from the Celtic Christians. This is the page for the Irish racists to post, feel free to pop in and let them know what you think of their raping of a culture that despises them. Cultists UPDATED (See Below) "na Astaraichean"- A while back, we booted one self-styled "Partholon MacPharlain" off the Tuath list for making racist remarks (they never made it past moderation), and trying to present views along the lines of different ethnicities not being the same race. He posted much of this same tripe on other lists and forums, and we were alerted to it by concerned readers. It seems he has decided to found his own religion, though how substantial it is beyond the website and himself is anyone's guess. At first glance, the philosophies espoused appear to be rather silly, full of bizarre and self-aggrandizing blather, and not the type of site that would wind up here, and the author added into the Racist category (which, admittedly, he does belong in). However, when you read deeper into it, there are some elements that are rather cult-like that raise some serious red flags beyond the racist philosophies. Discussions of minors marrying, dictatorial control over the sexual activities of members, micromanaging of members' lives down to how much body hair they should have, etc. are all dangerous precedents that have been seen in isolationist cults that have wound up engaging in repression against their members and violence against outsiders. This group should be watched closely. EDIT: It seems that Partholon has removed his site from public viewing and put a robots.txt archive blocker in it to remove it from the internet archives... No archive is available for the original page, however this page and this page on the Patrick's Rants blog detail some of the nuttery. Recently, he has been seen popping up on various meet-up sites claiming to be a "Celtic Christian", and has taken all sites down related to his cult. Again, people can believe what they want, but the beliefs listed on that page and the front page found in the above archive, combined with his prior racist diatribes on several forums, raise significant concerns about this group. Criminals FUGITIVE PEDOPHILE: Daniel Clement Chafe (a.k.a. "Stryder Styarfyr", "Gwydyn Stryder", Curtis Jacoby)- Daniel Chafe first hit the "Celtic pagan" scene in the 1980's pulling the usual unicorns and fairy castles routine a lot of guys using neopaganism as a way to compensate for failed lives, BS women into the sack, or try to follow L. Ron Hubbard's example and start their very own cult. He delved into territory that brings him to this page by adding a bizarre quasi-Celtic flavor hybridized with bad Tolkein references and standard issue nuttery. Claiming to be in both the CIA and IRA- despite the fact that the latter was actively engaged in counterterrorist actions against many elements of the former, and keeping tighter surveillance on the IRA as a whole (i.e., the two groups were not the best of friends and worked at cross-purposes)- he charmed young women with promises of being princesses in a Celtic Utopian coven called the Cobalt Clan. Now, had it stopped there, he would have been just another off-the-shelf delusional nutter looking to con his way between the sheets with various neo-hippies and Wiccans. However, Daniel Chafe has a taste for young girls and used the hold he had over them to seduce them. Those he couldn't seduce he raped. This sexual predator dodged authorities in 1998, and for the past decade has been on the run. He has been sighted in California and Oregon (he was last sighted in Roseburg, OR), though he may have fled to Mexico. He is wanted on 13 counts of rape and sexual abuse of a minor in Oregon. He may still be involved in the neopagan community, and as delusional whackbiscuits like this one have their identities entrenched in their fabrications he is likely involved in some form of Celtic-flavored paganism or Wicca.
